Each student is identified by a unique Panther ID, a name composed by first and last name, and a unique email address.
A course is identified by a unique course Id, a name, a 5-digits section number (ex. 23334), and the term in which the course is being offered.
A term is identified by a 4-digits term Id, a name, start and end date. The 4-digits Id is in the format 1 + two digits year + 1 (Spring) / 5 (Summer) / 8 (Fall). For example, the Id for the current Fall 2022 semester is 1228, for Spring 2023 is 1231, for Summer 2023 is 1235, and so forth.
Courses can be offered in different terms, and there might be courses that have not been offered in any term yet.
Each course has a grading scale, which specifies the minimum points required for each letter grade (A, B, C, D). For example, COP4703 requires 90 points for an A, 80 points for a B, 70 points for a C, and 60 points for a D.
Students are enrolled in courses offered each term. Students can be enrolled in zero or more courses offered.
Each offered course has one or more grading components, such as midterm exam, final exam, assignments, projects, etc…
Each grading component has a name, total points (Ex. 100, 50, etc..), and a numeric weigh that represents percentage of final grade. For example, the midterm exam has a total of 100 points and represents 25% of final grade.
A student enrolled in a course will have a grade for each grading component associated to the course and also a final grade for the entire course.
Design an entity-relationship diagram for the GRADE_BOOK database
Using the ER-to-Relational mapping algorithm, create a relational database schema. The schema must include tables, attributes with corresponding domain set, and constraints (primary key, unique, not null, foreign key).
