In this paper, you are asked to select and analyze a current Case Manager position and adjoining job description. By examining all components of a Case Manager position, the essential functions, and required/preferred requirements, you will better understand the roles and responsibilities of case management.

In order to document and analyze the job description, please use the following rough guidelines, as appropriate. Note that NOT every question below will be relevant to your topic.

Please describe and define the organization that is seeking a Case Manager. This should give you the ‘big picture’ of how case management functions within the larger organization.

Describe the demographic characteristics of the population served within this posting? These characteristics may include: geography (region or the country, urban/rural), gender, race, ethnicity, age, country of origin, language, etc.
Describe the essential functions/duties of the position. Don’t just list them; rather, analyze the overall duties of the position. Is there something not on the essential functions/duties list that you would have expected to be there?
Describe the required and preferred qualifications of the position. Again, don’t just list them. Analyze the type of qualifications they are interested in. These may include: educational level, language capabilities, computer skills, previous experience working in the field or with targeted population, etc.
End with a short conclusion paragraph summarizing the job posting and description. What are your overall thoughts, concerns, or things that peak your interest.
This paper will likely be roughly 2-3 pages, double-spaced, with in-text citation of your sources and an end reference list (in APA style). The end reference list is not counted in the page total. Use the template below to complete this assignment.
