1. Do you consider the Nacirema tribe to be less advanced or more advanced than our society? Why or why not? Answer this by comparing three of their rituals to three that you are familiar with, using your own self-reference criterion and using course terminology.
2. The story uses the word “listener” for counselor. Find at least five more words like this in the story and state what they seem to mean (do not duplicate those used as rituals in Question 1 above).
3. Write a short story (one paragraph) using Miner’s approach, describing a common activity from the perspective of unfamiliarity. In other words (at least five), make it sound “odd” to someone visiting from another planet, perhaps.
