The overall objective of coming alongside families is improving the ‘well-being’ of parents and children by supporting families through the common challenges of family life. This assignment asks you to apply core components of the
course as you examine Olive and the Hoover family in the movie ‘Little Miss
Sunshine’ (Arkin, Alan et al, 2006)
Below are the instructions from my professor of what we are to write about
after watching the movie “Little Miss Sunshine”, please answer all of the
following questions from the perspective of a family therapist/social worker,

to the ‘role’ they play, as you consider the information learned in class
regarding family roles.
H) Summarize your paper by articulating strengths and challenges of this
family and a brief description of what might be your first steps if you were to
