Part 1
This Discussion Board activity reviews important lessons about academic writing and helps us prepare for our third and final writing assignment, the summary-analysis essay.

2. Then write a cohesive paragraph that analyzes the article and answers the following questions.
1. Identify the thesis statement/claim.
2. Describe the evidence used by the author to support his/her message (statistics, studies, expert opinion, data from other organizations…etc)
3. Describe any appeals Ethos, Logos, Pathos) or logical fallacies the author used to convey the message.
4. Include a reference citation with an active link to the article, so others can easily review the original article.
Part 2
To extend the discussion, first review the posts of your classmates. Then choose at least two of your classmates’ posts and respond with thoughtful and substantive contributions. Answer any questions from your instructor.
