– Topic: what makes this a great film or why you consider it important/good.
– You can talk about: the historical importance of the film; the importance of the film within the director’s career; the importance of the film within an actor’s career; the aesthetic qualities of the film (shots, colours, editing, camera movements, etc.); or any other similar idea that constitutes underlining the greatness of the film. It can also be a combination of these ideas.
– You cannot copy/paste from the internet.
– You can of course get ideas from the internet. You simply can’t copy/paste.
– You may use quotations if necessary, for up to a total of 200 words, but these quotations must be footnoted. The quotations will be counted as part of your 1500 words, but the footnotes will not.
– To support your essay, you may use excerpts from the film. You can put these excerpts into a PowerPoint or Keynote which you can send with the essay. Simply identify in the essay when I should watch a clip of the film as a am reading.
