I am going to attach the syllabus so you can see the teacher’s instructions. The conflict I chose to analyze is the conflict between Rwanda and DRC. The syllabus has teo highlighted paragraphs; the 1st paragraph asks us to write an outline or plan for the research paper, which i have already completed–so no worries there. The 2nd highlighted paragraph is about the sctual research paper. I have attached the syllabus so you know what materials/books/articles we have read in class and so you can use the concepts from those materials to incorporate in the paper. The field of study is Peace and Conflict Resolution, and the specific topic for this class is “Identity, Culture, and Conflict. Please be sure to follow the teachers instructions clearly. If possible, i will alos attach the outline I had made for this project. Also, as the teacher suggested on the 1st highlighted paragraph when talking about the research plan, if the research topic is too broad, you nay consider narrowing the research by sekecting how the conflict impacts a relatively small group of people. In this case, I’d choose to talk about child labor in mining sites in Eastern DRC, or how women are impacted by this conflict because the adversaries are using rape as a weapon of war.
