This paper is focused on the topic of social work practice with families. The paper
should be written in APA style/format and be approximately eight pages in length.

For this paper you will watch the film One True Thing that is available to you via the link
on Canvas. Your paper will revolve around the family portrayed in the film. Write an
assessment of the family.

Begin your paper with a case summary that describes the family (less than one
page). Imagine you are seeing the family for the first time at the height of the conflict in
the film. Give a brief description of each member of the family, (who they are,

conceptualizes the family and their identified problem (make sure to cite it). First,
describe the model and then describe how it helps you conceptualize the family’s
