WORKING PAPER: TOPIC SELECTION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW

This is the first attempt at picking the topic that you will be working on throughout this course. Selection of the topic is vital since it would further define your independent research endeavors’ future trajectory. Your topic should be based on a viable empirical puzzle (why the things are topic should also be informed by sustainable questions answering, which would help you further your research. Please, also keep in mind that you need to come up with a work hypothesis, which will be your tentative explanation of the empirical puzzle you witness.

INSTRUCTIONS
Given the nature of your public policy area of interest, which qualitative analysis may be applied? Find a specific application, delineating the question(s) to be addressed, and then provide references.
• Length of assignment: 5-8 pages double-spaced (excluding the cover page and bibliography);
• Format of assignment: Current APA
• Number of citations: between 5 and 10.
