to answer the second and the third question, the frameworks/perspectives are the four as below:
Framework:
1. Crenshaw – Intersectionality: identifies multiple factors of advantage and disadvantage.
2. Blumer – Social problems as collective behavior: the course of the process of collective definition: (1) the emergence of a social problem, (2) the legitimation of the problem, (3) the mobilization of action with regard to the problem, (4) the formation of an official plan of action, (5) the transformation of the official plan in its empirical implementation.
3. Mills – Sociological Imagination: the awareness of the relationship between personal experience and the wider society.
4. Anderson & Snow – Symbolic interactionism: Symbolic Interactionism is a theoretical framework in sociology that describes how societies are created and maintained through the repeated actions of individuals. In simple terms, people in society understand their social worlds through communication — the exchange of meaning through language and symbols. Instead of addressing how institutions objectively define and affect individuals, symbolic interactionism pays attention to these individuals’ subjective viewpoints and how they make sense of the world from their own perspective.
to answer the seventh question, our discussion in class was mainly on the inequality in America and the four frameworks
