RESPOND TO THIS CLASSMATE RESPONSE..

Yes, I do believe the present rights given to strikers by the NLRB are appropriate. I would have to say I would disagree that it should be increased. A labor strike occurs when workers collectively agree to stop working in order to gain a concession from an employer. When employees feel they are not being treated right, wages are inadequate and working conditions are harsh, strikes are usually made. A lawful economic strike is one that is undertaken to obtain higher wages, shorter hours, or other objectives that would increase a person’s earning power. All other strikers are generally considered to be unfair labor practice strikers. Although some employees abuse the right to strike and they become unlawful. Strikers who engage in serious misconduct in the course of a strike may be refused reinstatement to their former jobs. For example, some strikes include violence and threats to violence is unlawful and this is the reason, rights should be decreased. Strikes like result in violence usually have a negative impact on the community as well.
