The interview can be in-person, over the phone, email, or video. Each student must do their own research and select a community activist. The activist must have participated in a Chicana/o Civil rights event or helped lead an organization, union or event fighting for Chicana/o Civil Rights.
Submissions must contain, at minimum, the following information. Additional information can be provided according to relevance.

Introduce and describe the activist’s or event background.
Provide a socio-historical context for the event, union or organization.
Describe their role (or yours) in the event, union or organization.
Analyze how the activist or event is part of unfolding Chicana/o history.
Discuss how the activist or event should be remembered by the next generation.
Paper Only: MLA Format, 12-point Font, and College Level writing.

In no particular order, the following are questions to guide your interview and/or event reflection.
