Instructions The assignment looks at policy through the lens of advocates and the media. For
your policy/problem, research articles written about it and then research
articles written specifically by advocate groups. Articles written about
the policy go on one side, and articles written by advocates go on the
other. In the middle, compare the two and write down the things they have
in common. This is a one-page assignment. There is no paper
component. Here is an example the professor has shared with some of the students in emails: she is interested in the prescription drug prices for older
Americans. she will research articles written about the Medicare
Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003. Then she will research articles written by AARP or Council on Aging about drug
prices. She will compare those articles and include the commonality in the
center of the two sets on the Venn Diagram.
The policy I have and you will be doing the assignment on is The Child Care for Working Families Act. Attached is the venn diagram you will complete the assignment on and an example of a completed version of the assignment.
