This paper should be a minimum of 1600 words (approximately 6 pages) of text.
This does not include the bibliography, images, reference material, or appendices.

The APSA style manual must be used for citations.

You must use at least two (3) academic sources dealing with the ideologies

All material not original to you must be sourced and cited.

Prompt:
Using the framework construct your ideal political structure.
In the introduction you must clearly state the order in which you are placing
the principles – (security, prosperity, liberty, equality and justice).
Argue for why you have ordered them in the manner you have chosen. Argue for the
implications that this order wilhave for life in the short term, the medium term, and the
long term.

For instance, a focus on security will have negative consequences for all the other principles. A
completely secure society in the long term will necessitate severe restrictions on liberty and
prosperity and people will have little recourse to complain about the lack of equality and justice.

However, please note that this is not an opinion piece. No
first- or second-person usage will be allowed.

It would be useful to think of the paper in this fashion:
• Step One: Assume that you are allowed to reconstruct a society in the present moment.
What is the most important ordering principle for your ideal society? Why?
o What assumptions are you making about human nature?
• Step Two: How will you order the other principles in relation to step one? Why have
you chosen this order?
• Step Three: What are the implications of your choices? (This will be bulk of your
analysis and consist of 3-4 pages).
o Recognize that sacrifices will have to be made and that some people will suffer in
the short and medium term for your ideal society in the long term.
o You will not be judged by your choice. I recognize that this is an academic
exercise, and the focus will be on logic and argumentation.
