Choose two selections we have read and analyze the role setting plays in the development of plot and/or character.

Consider these questions in formulating a thesis:
-Would the characterization be “plausible” outside of the setting?
-Is the setting inseparable from the plot? Could the events happen in a different time or place?
-What contribution does the setting make to our understanding of the conflict and/or theme?

-Who are the two characters and what is their shared characteristic?
-Is the personality trait a positive or negative one? For both characters? For one and not the other?
-What effect does this characteristic have on the development and/or outcome of the plot? OR How does this trait contribute to the conflict?
