What is the appropriate political scale for solving
the problem (local, state, national, or international)?
– How is the solution affected or shaped by particular policies?
– What are the political barriers to implementing this solution? Can they be
overcome? How?
– Have similar policies worked elsewhere or at other times in the past?
– What actors are involved? How are they involved?
– What are the implications of this solution?
Requirements:
Your paper must include a clear thesis sentence. When I say that I want a clear thesis, I
want you to make a strong and concise argument. The thesis sentence is different from
a “road map.” A thesis sentence tells the reader the central idea or argument of the
paper; the road map tells the reader what points will be covered.
The research paper should be 6-8 pages in length, typed, double spaced, with a
bibliography or works cited page (not counted in the page length requirement), using
MLA or APA citations. A minimum of 6 academic sources are required (class materials
may be used). Use peer reviewed articles or news sources––not Wikipedia
