Caravaggio and the significance of his art work

For this assignment, you are to write a research paper on an artwork or art historical topic that
falls within the timeline of this class (between the Paleolithic and Byzantine eras). In your
introduction, you should state your thesis. The majority of the paper should be in defense of your
thesis or main claim. You should also have a conclusion that sums-up your argument. Your
paper must be submitted through Canvas and will be analyzed by an anti-plagiarism program.
The paper must be 1,400 words or longer. The paper
must be typed and double-spaced with one inch margins and must be in Times New Roman font.
Your bibliography should include at least 3 sources. You should not use your textbook as a
source, nor encyclopedias. (This includes online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia). All sources
in your bibliography must be of reliable scholarly research and come from a respectable
publication! You should not cite anything in which you do not know the author’s name or the
publication from which the information came. The paper must also
contain footnotes for all citations*, and a bibliography. All online articles must come from the
journals or newspapers, and be properly cited in the footnotes and bibliography. We will cover
appropriate research techniques in the course.
