This task requires you to analyse the contexts and ideas of key biblical texts. This task is designed to allow you to display achievement of Learning Outcome 2.
LO1- Identify the narrative and literary features of biblical texts using modern biblical scholarship
LO2 – Analyse biblical narratives by considering their historical, geographical, social, and cultural contexts
Your assessment will be assessed on the basis of: content; written expression and presentation; referencing of modern sources; and referencing of biblical sources. See the rubric in the appendix to this unit outline for details.
Intro –
Start with a catchy sentence, interesting quote, or relevant

• Set a clear direction for the essay
• State where you intend to go in the body of your essay and
ensure you go there
• Start with more general statements and end with a strong
statement on your main point

Conclusion
As long as you engage clearly with the text at the levels of words, grammar, text (including genre), and (if relevant) modality and conclude by showing how careful analysis of the text can lead to a richer interpretation you can take either approach.
