Micro-Midterm Paper 1

You are required to draw from any of the sources presented thus far in this class, which include:

Taking into consideration our journey into Ethnic Studies, especially with respect to Native Americans, please respond to the following question:
Discuss the course of European colonization in the Americas by taking into consideration Columbus and his establishment and the immediate impact on the native population in the Caribbean. Also, explain the importance of Bartolome de las Casas and discuss the impact of disease on Natives in the era of colonization and today. Finally, define resistance, as stated in our lecture, and discuss Native American resistance in North America during the 17th and 18th centuries.
