Song Title: Put the title of your original song here.

Song Lyrics: Write at least four sections of YOUR OWN original rock song (NOT an analysis of an existing song, but a NEW song that you write). When I say four sections, this DOES NOT mean four lines, but four complete sections that should each have at least three or four lines (one rhyming couplet is NOT enough to make up a section).

Any of the following combinations of sections are acceptable:

four verses
three verses and a chorus
two verses, a chorus and bridge
-Note that repeating the chorus does NOT make it count as more than one section!

-Please do NOT write your lyrics in paragraph form. They should be written more like a poem. All you have to do is to google your favorite song lyrics to see many examples.

-Write at least one solid paragraph for each of the following sections. These three sections together should add up to around 500 words.

Music: You do not have to write music for your song. Instead, describe the music. In other words, what type of song do you imagine this to be, what instruments do you hear, etc? Feel free to compare it to another song or describe the kind of band that might play it, but you also need to actually describe the music.

Meaning: What do the lyrics mean? What was your inspiration for the lyrics?

Music/Lyrics: Describe how the sound of the music matches the meaning of the lyrics. In other words, why did you choose the specific sounds and style you chose to accompany the lyrics?Song Title: Put the title of your original song here.
