Description
For your second assessment, you have to write a critical essay. The topic of the essay will be agreed between you and your lecturer. In this essay you must apply key theories discussed on the module, and demonstrate their respective strengths and weaknesses by applying them to a relevant film. You must discuss a film that has not been covered in the module.
This assessment consists of TWO components
• A written essay worth 80% of the mark for this assessment AND
• A 10′ oral viva with your tutor worth 20% of the mark for this assessment where. At this viva you will be expected to answer questions about the topic of your essay, you research and writing up process and how you’ve used your sources to support your findings.
