Assignment #1: Birkman Reflection and Response
Instruction:
The objective of this assignment is to provide you with the opportunity to reflect and respond to the results of the Birkman. This connects directly to the processes you will engage in in the LDRS 697/698 capstone and throughout this program. Specifically, I will ask you to

2. Write a short (1500-word) reflective response to the following questions:
a. What was your understanding of yourself before taking Birkman?
b. What is your understanding about yourself—either confirming or disconfirming previously held self-perception(s), and why? Any new knowledge you have gained? Be sure to use other personality inventory assessments you may have completed in your analysis.
c. What do Birkman measures mean to you in your professional and practical leadership context?

3. Based on your reflection, how do the Birkman findings intersect (or connect) with the nine leadership competencies (found in the LIP manual under competencies 3.1-3.9) for you specifically?
