Leadership is best learnt when one gets a chance to reflect on how what they have learnt may or may not be applied to his/her life. Therefore, you are required to submit a reflection journal for ONE topic we covered between Week 2 and Week 9. The reflection journal should focus on how what you learnt in classes influences your thoughts about effective leadership and your personal leadership development plan based on the reflection.
Your reflection journal should include the following:
1. Provide a brief summary of the contents you learned in that session.
2. Reflect on how (1) the key concepts and theories you learnt based on the lecture and
your additional self-learning, and (2) the in-class activities and discussion you
participated in influence your thoughts about effective leadership.
3. Take a step back and think about how these reflections can guide you to further
prepare yourself to be an effective leader in the future. Develop a plan with concrete examples of what you will do to become an effective leader, based on the reflections above in requirement 2.

I will evaluate your paper based on (a) clarity, organization and professionalism (e.g., clear writing style, logical flow of writing, use of headings and subheadings where appropriate, clear transitions between sections of paper; 4 marks), (b) thoroughness (e.g., addressing all the requirements outlined above; 4 marks), (c) use of research or practitioner articles in supporting your points (e.g., articles either covered in class or that you find elsewhere; 1 mark), and (d) quality (e.g., careful and critical thoughts put into the required sections, logical or theoretical arguments provided, creativity in developing and preparing yourself to be an effective leader; 6 marks).
