There are hundreds of thousands of children and adolescents in the foster care system in the U.S. today.
A child enters foster care every 2 minutes.
Many of them will not be adopted by a new family or reunited with their birth families.
The majority of young people who age out of foster care at 18 or 21 will not be prepared for adult life, and may end up homeless, incarcerated, addicted to substances, or dead.
There are thousands of LGBT+ adults and same-sex couples who would love to be parents.
