For our third paper, you’ll start with an idea of a specific research question, look for and summarize research that responds to that question, integrate that research into a 6-7 page essay in APA Style.
If you have the name of the author, it will likely look like (Rivera, 2015, p. 77). If you don’t have the author’s name, you’ll use the title, and it will likely look like (“Caring in Teaching,” 2015, ¶ 4). Note that the page or paragraph number is included; you’ll use the page or paragraph number if you directly quote your source, not if you only paraphrase or summarize your source. think about your use of sources:
Are they organized into sections or are they a series of summaries?
Are they responding to your research question or are they broadly related to your topic?
Are they a mix of paraphrases and quotes or all quotes/no quotes?
As you can imagine, the former for each question is best.
You might also want to take a look at your APA Style citations.
