English for Academic Purposes Written Report – No less than 7 sources of at least 2 different types (e.g., Internet articles, and journal articles)-950 words
write a structured, evidence- and fact-based report to suggest a solution to a practical problem for a general (not only academic) audience,
define clearly a research question (problem that needs to be solved),
read and apply the assigned supporting materials critically,
organize ideas in a logical and coherent manner,
write academically, and
demonstrate appropriate referencing skills (paraphrasing, summarizing, quoting and synthesizing), and use an appropriate referencing system (APA, 7th ed.).
English for Academic Purposes Oral Presentation (speech note,not powerpoint)-550 words
present your thesis and main ideas in a brief outline of your report, up to but no longer than two pages of A4 (double line spaced),
introduce the basic structure of your report,
suggest how you might use the given articles in your report,
suggest what further reading you have done, critically evaluate at least one and summarize how it might be implemented into your report
