Argue that Thomas C. Foster should include The Lottery By Shirley Jackson in one of his chapters from his seminal book How to Read Literature Like a Professor. Citing evidence from his book and the text of your choice, explain why he should include it in this chapter. In the same breath of using evidence, your chapter should make liberal use of any vocabulary and ideas from this class. For example, if your one text was The Truman Show, I would imagine your essay would liberally and accurately use terms from the Hero’s Journey model or Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.”
