Individual Assignment
It is important to understand the different levels of staffing that are available in the acute care facilities. In a six-page essay, you will:
(1) Define what is a Per Diem (PRN) and what is a traveling nurse
(2) Discuss the difference between the PRN and traveling nurse. Complete research to explore the academic, degrees, and experiential requirements needed of each role

(3) Find 3 job postings for the PRN positions and 3 job postings for traveling nurse positions and describe them in narrative form
(4) What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a traveling nurse?
Why are traveling nurses contracted by hospitals? What are the disadvantages of hiring a traveling nurse? What are the advantages?
