ASSESSMENT ITEM :DESCRIPTION
The ‘review in conversation’ is an extension of the news article review. But now, it is your turn. The assignment should be completed using a format similar to The Conversation Australia:

You may choose a topic central to ongoing IR debates or new features (example: remote working). You can alternatively focus on broader issues, such as The Future of Work, The Policy Challenges and Reaction to Climate Emergency. Related sources will be provided in due course.
Example: if you elect ‘wages’ as a topic, you need to develop an argument in a form of a story line and outline the key implications. In that case, the story line may be ‘wage stagnation’ in Australia. You may describe the nature of the problem (real wages being flat for almost a decade despite productivity and overall economic growth), the reason why it is the case (legislation, lack of union power, shifts in employment status, increase of jobs in low paid service sectors, etc.), what stakeholder say about the issue, what are the consequences. All in all, you need to make a case, like ‘Australia needs a pay rise’ and conclude with the view you wish the reader to consider.

Use The Conversation as a template and a source of inspiration.
Argumentation: you need to make a point based on existing arguments and narrative (including theories when appropriate), expose the facts and the viewpoint that you want the reader to think of.
Following The Conversation template, it should be from around 800 words to 1200 words max.
