Assignment Question

Operational Definitions & Conceptual Framework, Narrative and Mathis assignment has three parts: I) Operational Definitions, II) Concept Map, III) Conceptual Framework Narrative I) Provide an operational definition for each of the terms that you will be using in your study. An operational definition is an explanation of how each term is used in your research study, and may not always be the same as the legal or everyday usage of the term. Examples “Worcester State University Student,” – Any undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree at Worcester State University, who will be enrolled in at least one in-person course at the university during the course of the research. Individuals enrolled in continuing education, non-degree courses or workshops will be excluded, but non-matriculated graduate students will be included. (Notice that in this case, students taking blended or online classes would be excluded from the study, even though in everyday language they are “Worcester State students.” “African Immigrant,” – Any person born in an African country who is currently residing in the U.S., legally or illegally. In this study, the term will also include foreign students who are on student visas, foreign workers on work visas, and those of visitors’ visas who have stayed in the country for more than six months.

II Design a concept map for your study. A concept map is a graphical representation of what you think is going on in your study situation.
