Advantages and Disadvantages of Victim Assistance

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of victim assistance within the court system- and what can be done to improve services to victims entering the crimnal justice system.
For the individual paper, students are requested to write and submit a 1000word (APA Style referenced) paper on a specific Family Violence topic designated by Dr. James. Students are requested when writing his or her paper to use THREE (3) academic (peer-reviewed) journals. Students must follow specific guidelines for the individual paper. These guidelines are detailed below:
The paper must be 1000 words. A 100-word margin either way will be allowed i.e., 900-1100 (the cover sheet and reference list will not count towards the 1000word limit). Any paper with a word count outside of these margins will be penalized points.
The paper must be formatted as follows:
Cover page
Students name and Student ID
Title of topic
Word count
Name of the course
Instructors name
Due date of the assignment
Written with a software that is compatible for Turnitin/SafeAssign (MSWord is the best suited – Google Docs, iPages do not generally work)
0-line spacing, Page numbers, and Times New Roman (size 12 font)
Must have headings (i.e., Introduction, Literature Review, Conclusion, Reference List)
Written in third-person language (i.e., the author, the researcher, etc.)
Reference list (APA Style), with a minimum of three journal articles (peer-reviewed)
Points will be deducted if formatting guidelines are not followed. Run the spell check and proofread your paper before submitting it. (Points will be deducted for spelling and grammatical errors.) Do not try to submit your paper using any smart phones or tablets, this is because there is a possibility that Canvas may not register your submission. This is not my (Dr. James’) problem, nor can I do anything about it. Moreover, if you encounter a technical problem, please contact technical support and not me. It is advisable that you submit your work with sufficient time to counter and avoid any technical problems, as this will not be accepted as a valid excuse.
APA Style Referencing for Individual Paper:
Students must use APA Style Referencing with in-text citations and provide a reference list. (Points will be deducted for incorrect referencing and/ or missing references.) Each paper must have a minimum of three (3) journal articles (peer-reviewed). Please note the following for the

The paper should have in-text citations (APA Style)
NO WEBSITES (NO .org OR GOVERNMENT WEBSITES, REPORTS, ETC.), NO TEXTBOOK, NO BOOK/S, NO REPORTS, NO MAGAZINES, NO NEWSPAPERS, NO DISSERTATIONS OR THESES are allowed to be used.
ONLY USE ACADEMIC PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL ARTICLES
Lastly, a full reference of the journal article/s using APA style formatting must be provided.
If any of these sources are referenced, a ZERO will be awarded for the paper.
