This is a very tough subject–the continuing violence between two groups of people who have claims on the same piece of land: Israel and Palestine. Please choose one of the questions below, do some research, and then share a bit of what you’ve learned. You will be expected to show respect for all parties involved, both Palestinians (Muslims and Christians) and Israelis (mostly Jews, with a smattering of Muslims and Christians).
How did the conflict begin?
What is Zionism?
What was the six-day war and what impact did it make?
What was the Camp David peace accord? Who were the leaders? What came of it?
What’s the two-state solution?
What are the signs of hope?

the conflict began with the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, this conflict came from the intercommunal violence in Mandatory Palestine between Israelis and Arabs from 1920 and erupted into full-scale hostilities in the 1947- 1948 civil war.
Zionism is a movement for (originally) the re-establishment and (now) the development and protection of a Jewish nation in what is now Israel. It was established as a political organization in 1897 under Theodor Herzl and was later led by Chaim Weizmann.
the 6th day of war was the Victory in the war that led to a surge of national pride in Israel, which had tripled in size, but it also fanned the flames of the Arab-Israeli conflict Israel defeated the Arab armies and captured the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the Golan Heights from Syria and the West Bank from Jordan Six-Day War also had the effect of causing the expulsion of many Jews living in majority Arab countries.
The Camp David Accords, signed by President Jimmy Carter, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in September 1978, established a framework for a historic peace treaty concluded between Israel and Egypt in March 1979.
The two-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict envisions an independent State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel, west of the Jordan River.
the hope was it proposes practical actions that express hope for the future, especially amongst the next generation of believers in both communities. It calls for prayer and support from the wider family of believers. the partial freeze on the construction of Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory and the removal of more than 50 checkpoints within the West Bank, which has “markedly improved the freedom of movement” for Palestinians and improved the economic situation.
