READ THE ASSIGNMENT ATTACHED BEFORE CHOOSING A TOPIC. Students are to “analyze a specific human experiment or another example of dubious scientific ethics carried out by multiple collaborators after World War II” and applying the Nuremberg Code as ethical criteria.
Students may NOT write about the CIA’s MK Ultra Project as their main topic as that is the subject of the Module 2 sample student essay. See also sources that are not permitted (including History.com).
PART ONE (at least 300 words) : Write a brief proposal for your paper topic:
Working Thesis: Read the bioethics essay assignment carefully, including the rubric (SEE ATTACHED). Concisely describe your Bioethics conspiracy and major research question(s) in a few sentences. Who were the conspirators and who were the victims? When, where, and how did it happen?
Source Critique: (300 words): Briefly evaluate three preliminary sources based on their reliability (expertise, format & publisher, etc.) and relevance to your project; be as specific as possible about what you plan to illustrate using these references. List each source with all required publishing information.
PART TWO (at least 2000 words including abstract) : Write the essay on Conspiracies and Bioethics. (See attached instructions)
