1. As you can see from the previous graphs presented in Chapter 2, we use most of our available energy in two sectors, Transportation and the production of Electricity. Write an essay (several paragraphs) where you first explain what could be done by the US government to reduce the amount of energy used by the transportation sector and then you explain what could be done in general to improve the efficiency in the generation and transmission of electrical energy. For example, do you think that our transportation and electrical networks need to be updated?

a Why the residential sector in Japan has less weight in the use of energy than in the USA?.
b. Why the residential sector in a poor country like Ghana has a much larger weight in the use of energy than in a rich country like the USA?
