Case Study- Managerial Economics

Case
Study Simulation: Theorize, Analysis & Present Results
The case studies
provide students with examples that can illustrate principles, provoke
discussion, and facilitate learning. A case
study mirrors a real-world phenomenon as it is designed to incorporate the
realism of a given dilemma. The case itself is usually selected to highlight
some given underlying learning outcome and the test must prove that the
learning did occur with regards to the identified fundamental capabilities.

Typically, the parameters of the case study would take the following
format (See WIP below)

1.
Summarize the
contextual situation by identifying the issues and defined the problem(s)
2.
What principles,
theories, and terminologies that can best guide the reasoning toward presenting
the most appropriate solution/recommendation?
3. The analysis – here is where you would answer the questions, if stated.
Assuming the case is open ended, then you will formulate your own questions
arising out of the simulation and generate your own best answer to them.
a.

4. General or specific
recommendation/conclusion
5. Addendum
(additional information brought into the situation that would help with the optimum
solution/conclusion).
6. Relative
to our course’s content, what have you learnt after studying the case?
7. Final
Conclusion
