Create a series of 10-12 (total) PowerPoint slides that answer the listed questions below.
Incorporate graphics (and/or animations) to enhance the presentation and include speaker’s notes in the form of a full explanation of the slide image(s). Ask your instructor about topics you aren’t sure about. Participation in the discussion will also help you find further information to support your understanding of the material for inclusion in the presentation.
Use APA citations in the speaker’s notes to avoid violation of the academic integrity code. See the Template for more on how to create a proper citation.
Refer to the Microsoft Office Help and Tutorials located in the Moodle Student Handbook in if you need help creating PowerPoint slides.
Note: For this week only, there is a template. Refer to Resources for this week. Future weeks will have the student find the proper balance between information on slide and speaker’s notes to present the material in a logical manner which supports critical thinking and reporting of statistics and data.

1. Ecological Footprint. What does this mean? How is it calculated?

Describe the state and biome in which you live or one which you would like to study.
Describe some of the characteristics.
What is an ecological footprint?
What is your ecological footprint?
Describe three actions which might reduce your impact on your environment.
2. How does an ecosystem work? How do humans participate (positively or negatively) in their ecosystem? What tasks do you (or others) do which affect your ecosystem and/or biome?

3. How do biodiversity and the Environment connect within your ecosystem? Are there problems? What actions are some taking within your region to support diversity?

4. How does the environment act as a “system” within your selected biome? Give at least three interactions in a specific example.

5. Identify three ways you feel that you are using your ecosystem in a good way and two in which you feel you are negatively impacting the environment.

6. Summarize your understanding of this week’s readings and discussion. Think about how this material has impacted your thinking about the topics and what ecosystem/ecological footprint topic most impacted you and why?
