Controlling Womens Sexuality
There are two reasons for the prohibition on womens Torah study that appear in halakhic literature:
1) Womens intellectual unsuitability for learning, according to the saying: Women are light-headed.
2) Ethical inappropriateness, and fears that study would compromise feminine innocence.
