Create a new thread to answer the two questions below. Type your work in a word processor so you can save, and then copy and paste into the text box. Put your three topics in the subject line of your thread (“metal-head, lapsed-Catholic slob”).
Then reply to at least two classmates’ threads. In your replies, answer any questions or misunderstandings they have about the assignment. Also share which of their topics you’d most want to read, and why.

Read the instructions for the persuasive essay. Explain in your own words what the assignment asks you to do. Then respond: what do you think will be most challenging about writing this essay? What do you feel most excited or confident about?
List three topics you could imagine yourself writing about. Write a few sentences about each one. (Why are you a slob? What people (or kind of people) are most offended by your slovenliness, and why? What do you wish those people understood about you?)
