deepfakes

please provide the feedback from the paragraph.

Deepfakes as quoted in the New York Times Video is the ultimate
weaponisation of context. You take a picture, video or audio recording
from one situation and pair it to a different time and context,
resulting in the complete change in its portrayal and implication. It is
a powerful tool for spreading misinformation and fear-mongering among
the public. But this has been prevalent since a long time and several
news and media outlets coexisted with it.

More recently, because of
the rise in use of social media, this has become a bigger problem than
ever; Misinformation has the potential of getting viral in a very short amount of time causing
unrest and fear among the people. As for instance, during the latest
unrest between Iran and Palestine, there were several video clips and
pictures being circulated as to argue which part of the country were
getting more attacked and killed. While some of the pictures were
legitimate, a lot of them were fabricated, taken from different places than they claimed to be from and many of them were staged. People were sharing those posts and pictures and sharing their opinions about the situation all based on those deepfakes.

Well this is a tough problem to solve completely, but we can definitely take steps towards limiting its spread and stop it from causing disaster. The woman in the video suggests that we should refrain from sharing any information on social media as long as we are not a fully sure that it is true
