Television is a ubiquitous device that depends on some of the physics we are
studying. In this discussion, you will be exploring that connection. From a physics perspective, examine the elements of early television and other devices that rely
on the principles we are learning here. Your initial posts don’t have to cover
everything; the expectation is that you’ll help each other uncover the physics
within these devices. As always, please bring technical detail to your discussion
posts.
By the way, you might be interested in the some of the history of the development of television. The technological birth of the television was full of drama. There were battles over intellectual property and heated competition between a lone inventor
and a large corporation. Malcolm Gladwell, of The New Yorker, wrote a nice piece
