Final Project Assignment Instructions
The Final Project has been broken down into 3 parts. Part 1 and Part 2 build upon each other to develop the completed Final Project: Part 3 – PowerPoint Presentation. Please note that interview questions that you develop can be similar or repeated, and it is acceptable to interview individuals from different institutions and/or different parts of the country.
Final Project: Part 1 Professor and Student Interview
Professor Interview:
You will conduct an interview with a current college professor (other than the instructor for this course). For this part of the assignment, ten questions have been developed for you to ask about specific strategies that help college students manage their time, their life, and their studies. Include the questions and either the direct responses or a summary of the responses from each interview. You must integrate your findings in Final Project: PowerPoint Presentation.

Student Interview:
You will interview an individual who is currently a student enrolled in any type of higher education setting (community, college, university). The age of the individual does not matter so this can be an 18 year old freshman or an adult learner. For this interview, you will develop 5 8 questions to gain a better understanding of the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of college students. Include the questions and either the direct responses or a summary of the responses from each interview. You must integrate your findings in Final Project: PowerPoint Presentation.
Research Strategies Plan:
You will research strategies for self-management, time management, and learning for college students. Incorporating the information gained through research and the previous interviews, you will create a plan to meet the needs of college students. This assignment must be 68 pages and requires citations from 5 sources in current APA formatting. You must integrate your findings in the Final Project: PowerPoint Presentation.
Reflection
You will incorporate at 500-word summary into your assignment. This summary must include a strong and clear reflection that ties the interview and the research strategies plan together.
Note: The total recommended page length for this assignment is 11-15 pages when you combine the Professor Interview and Student Interview (3-5 pages for both interviews), the Research Strategies Plan (6-8 pages), and the Reflection (500 words).

Final Project: Part 2 Clergy and Counselor Interview
Clergy Interview:
You will conduct an interview with 1 member of the clergy that interacts with college students. In this interview, you will develop 5 8 interview questions that are applicable to strategies that help college students manage their time, their life, and their studies. Include the questions and either the direct responses or a summary of the responses from each interview. You must integrate your findings in Final Project: PowerPoint Presentation.
Note: If you are unable to secure a member of the clergy or higher education counselor/advisor, please interview an individual that interacts with college students in a role that helps college students manage their time, their life, and their studies.
Counselor Interview:
You will conduct an interview with 1 higher education counselor or advisor that interacts with college students. In this interview, you will develop 5 8 interview questions that are applicable to strategies that help college students manage their time, their life, and their studies. Include the questions and either the direct responses or a summary of the responses from each interview. You must integrate your findings in Final Project: PowerPoint Presentation.
Note: Liberty University Advising should NOT be contacted for this interview as the purpose of this assignment is to encourage additional perspectives gained at another college or university.
Instructional Strategies Plan:
Incorporating the information gained through research and the interviews from Final Project: Professor and Student Interview and Final Project: Clergy and Counselor Interview, you will create an instructional strategies plan to meet the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of college students. This assignment must be 68 pages and requires citations from 5 sources in current APA formatting which must be text and journal.
Reflection
You will incorporate at 500-word summary into your assignment. This summary must include a strong and clear reflection that ties the interview and the research strategies plan together.
Note: The total recommended page length for this assignment is 9 13 pages when you combine the Clergy and Counselor Interviews (3-5 pages for both interviews) with the Instructional Strategies Plan (6-8 pages), and the Reflection (500 words).
Final Project: Part 3 PowerPoint Presentation

You will incorporate all information from Final Project: Part 1 and Part 2 to develop Final Project: Part 3 – PowerPoint Presentation.
You will create a PowerPoint presentation for college students teaching the following:
time management strategies
learning strategies
self-management strategies
Additionally, you must type a script to align with the PowerPoint for a 30-minute presentation to college students, incorporating the sources previously used in Parts 12 of the Final Project and adding at least 2 additional sources.
Note: The script can be included in the notes section of the PPT or attached as a separate Word document.

Appendix A: Professor Interview Instructions

You will conduct an interview with a current college or university professor (other than the instructor for this course) to seek information about specific strategies that help college students manage their time, their life and their studies. You must explain the requirements of your assignment and ask permission to take notes or to audiotape the interview, as you will then record the professors answer in quotes.

Include the questions and either the direct responses or a summary of the responses in a double-spaced typed format. Responses should be rich and detailed and all 10 questions should be answered. It is appropriate to use first person language throughout all four parts of this assignment.
