For the mini-assignment, you have the choice to write a 2-3 page paper
where you will discuss your experiences with being socialized
into sport

Option 1 – Paper
Write a 2-3 page
paper reflecting on the ways you were socialized in sport. In your paper answer
the following questions:

What
is socialization?
·
How
were you socialized into sport/recreational activities?
·
What
opportunities were available for sport/recreation in your area growing up and
how did it influence you?
·
What
sport identities have you learned?
·
How
has your sport/recreation participation changed over the years and why?

Your
paper should include an introduction, a response to each of the above
questions, and a conclusion.

The paper must follow all APA guidelines
including formatting (margins, text size, title page, etc.) and
referencing (in-text and reference sheet). You are expected to have a minimum
of two acceptable sources. The grading rubric and what constitutes as an
acceptable source can be found on the course homepage under mini-assignment.

are multiple links on APA formatting and referencing under the APA tab on the
course homepage.

Acceptable
sources for the mini-assignment include any type of academic source such as
academic articles or books. You can also use news articles or reliable
websites. No Wikipedia. No blogs.

different. Please do not confuse the two.
