This is a 7 page paper which is broken down into sections. Each section is about 1-2 pages. The paper requires 7 sources. The first section is an annotated bibliography of 5 sources due on june 15th, second sectoin is literature review (1-2 double spaced) due june 15th, third section is methods and ethics (1-2 page) due on june 20th and the last one is the final reaserch proposal with two additional sources (6-8 pages) due on june 25th.
I will be extending the due dates for the paper as I recieve the sections on their due dates.
The instrcutios and due dates are as follows.
Annotated Bibliography due June 15th
Minimum of five sources, each with 1-2 sentences summarizing their content and applicability to your proposed project. AT LEAST three of these should be peer reviewed sources as opposed to newspaper articles and other types.
Literature Review Due June 15th
1-2 double spaced pages based o n the sources in your annotated bibliography, briefly outline past research on your topic and where your questions fits.
Methods and Ethics June 20th
Thical considerations of IRB Form if applicable: 1-2 double spaced pages exploring any potential ethical concerns raised by your project, and the completion of a short form for IRB approval if working with human participants
Final Research Proposal Due June 25th
Final Research Proposal ne ne 25th
The final proposal itself should synthesize the smaller assignments from the semester into one coherent proposal of 6-8 typed double spaced pages not including your sources (minimum of seven: two additional sources from your initial annotated bibliography assignment), with 1 inch margins, and 12-point Times New Roman font. The final version should expand upon your existing content from the above assignments in order to include these additional components:
Limitations of the current study
A reflection on challenges in conducting this research, and
One alternative method you could have selected, paired with a statement on how this would change your approach.
Objective: to synthesize your building block assignments into a final proposal/single paper–a skill that is applicable to many future professional project presentations and grant writing opportunities, as well as to future research at the undergraduate or graduate levels.
*All citations should be in ASA or APA format, which we will discuss in detail during the semester. Please see or contact me for help at any time, and review this ASA tipsheet or OWL Purdue for further guidance.
