Which aspects of writing the narrative did you find easier or more difficult to address?
I chose to write about the video scenario involving the domestic dispute with John and Kelly Smith residing at 345 Main St, Unit 2. A 911 call received by a neighbor on July 11, 2021 @ 8:00pm complaining of shouting and things being thrown around. Two officers were then dispatched to the residence where they found the parties involved in an active argument. Officers had to separate the parties in order to get details of the dispute. Tom was taken in handcuffs to the patrol car in order to get him to focus and stop arguing with Kelly. Based on both parties statements. it appears the couple was in an argument about Tom’s drinking. The officer speaking with Tom determined that he had arrived home intoxicated and Kelly was upset about that because it has become a common occurance. Once calmed down, Tom states that it has become a habit and wanted information on any resources available to help him. The officer provides Tom with a listing of local AA resources as well as treatment facilities. Tom and Kelly had a verbal arguement, however did not have a physical interaction. Tom decides it would be best for him to go spend the night at his parents house until tomorrow at least and will contact the AA program. Kelly collaborates the story by agreeing that she thinks Tom has a drinking problem and was concerned for his wellbeing. No charges were filed and both parties were advised not to contact each other for 24 hours. If police is dispatched to that location again then charges would be filed. Finally, all is resolved and peaceful.
I found it easier to address what actions I would take in this situation as there were clues in the video regarding their arguement.
