Review and evaluate the research that your happiness project is based upon. In your evaluation, you can reflect upon and incorporate your experience, but make sure that you provide a critique and review of the research, using your own experience as a guide. The paper should begin with a review of the research, followed by a review of the methodologies that are used by the researchers. Evaluate the methodology you used against the research methodology, and provide a critical assessment of the efficacy of the method and the results. If you do not agree with the researcher’s conclusions, propose an alternate hypothesis and develop a new study that will test your proposal.
The paper should be about 7-10 pages long, excluding cover page, references, etc. Your paper should integrate and evaluate at least 5 peer-reviewed journal articles of relevance to the topic.
For incorporating my project, my project was to exercise 5 days a week with 3 days incorporating cardio before each lift workout.
IV: Exercise 5 days a week, with cardio incorporated 3 days a week before lift workouts
DV: Happiness levels/feelings
Measures: Subjective Happiness Scale (Lyubomirsky & Lepper, 1999)
Before and after each workout, along with weekly basis ones
Procedure:
Pre-assessment: Subjective Happiness Scale Score: 19/28
I have a set schedule on my phone for my workouts for each day of the week
Wednesday’s and Sunday’s are rest days: Monday, Thursday, Saturday are cardio & lift days, Tuesday just lifts
Rotate body parts for each workout
End of study: retake the Subjective Happiness Scale and compare to my original score
End of study Subjective Happiness Score: 23/28
