What is the concentration ratio at the beginning and the end of the period?

Purpose:
Analyze the competitors in the industry and discuss the major competitors in some detail.

Requirement:
Thinking about your company of focus, you need to analyze the competitive landscape for your company.
In your analysis, you will want to consider the follow topics/questions. However, you should not just answer the questions, you need to write a cohesive paper that integrates these topics in a seamless way.
How many competitors existed in this industry at the beginning of the time period? How many competitors existed at the end of the time period? What happened to cause this change?
What is the concentration ratio at the beginning and the end of the period?
What is the level of market power of each competitor? How does it change from the beginning of the time period to the end? Why?
Ultimately, what is the market structure of this industry and why? You must analyze this real-world industry in relation to the characteristics of market structures to make this determination. Again, has this changed from the beginning to the end of the time period? Why? What caused the changes?
Submit a report that is 3-4 pages long, typed double-spaced. This report should be well written with a introduction and conclusion and use appropriate citation.

Research:
Each student will develop and analysis based on the information provided and the questions asked in each activity. Research is required and the best place to find that is through the Hartnell Library. (Links to an external site.)

Submission:
Each project needs to be in a single document (.doc or .pdf formats would work best) and submitted in Canvas through the appropriate assignment.
Each student will submit a complete financial analysis that must include title page, written analysis and work cited/references in a single document.
No late assignment will be accepted.
Typed, double-spaced in a readable 12-point font with margins no larger than 1” on all sides.
Must use APA citation format.
All references should be cited (5 sources minimum are required)
Wikipedia is not an acceptable source!
