Reflection Paper: In an effort to
help you apply what you learn in the course to the real world, you will write a
short (2 pages double-spaced)
reflection paper on a topic of your choosing (something from the course, either
lecture or discussion section). Once you’ve picked a topic, you need to find
one research article published in a peer-reviewed academic journal that addresses
the topic (see below for a list of journals from which you can choose an
article). In your paper, you should do the following:
1) Clearly describe
the social psychological concept that you chose,
2) Summarize the
finding(s) from the research article on that concept, and
3) Explain the
relevance of the concept to the real world (e.g., in your own or others’
lives).
*Journals
to search for papers: Psychological Science, Journal of Personality and
Social Psychology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Personality and
Social Psychology Bulletin
