For this assignment, you’ll research how recycled materials have been used in construction projects in place of standard building materials.
Locate at least three descriptions of either residential or commercial construction projects that highlight the use of building systems that have been formed using predominantly recycled material.
Following each example, write a description that identifies the primary building system that uses the material (e.g., walls, foundations, roofing, interiors), the source of the recycled material (e.g., tires, plastic bottles), and the standard materials that were replaced by the recycled materials (e.g., wood, concrete, steel).
For each example, include a simple list of any data provided that indicates a savings attributed to the project because of the use of the recycled material.
When selecting your examples, do not choose advertisements for products, vendors, or services. The examples you select should be from sources no more than four years old.
