The Law Enforcement career field is an ever-changing, challenging, exciting, and dangerous job choice. People in the career field will tell you that you have to have a calling to be here. The hours are long, the work is sometimes thankless, and the pay is not commensurate with the duties performed. These same individuals will also tell you that they wouldn’t trade jobs for anything in the world and love doing what they do. The rewarding work includes removing women from violent relationships, counseling, and helping a parolee or probationary client get back on track. Working at a crime scene and collecting DNA and other evidence that brings a criminal to justice are just a few of the Law Enforcement career path rewards. The question is, why and what brings you to the doorstep of an Law Enforcement career?
