Finding and Creating Appropriate Measures to Evaluate Client/Program Participant Outcomes

Below are the instructions and i will attach an example.
1) find TWO scale measures of the SAME (or similar) construct that measures the main issue you identified for your client in Assignment #1 (i.e. if my main issue is depression, then I would use the Center for Epidemiological Depression Scale AND the Beck Depression Inventory because BOTH scales measure the SAME thing – depression). Remember, a SCALE is a measure with multiple items that are used to create an overall “score” that measures the degree, amount, severity or duration of an issue of concern.
2) Type the scale items directly into your discussion board response as well as instructions on how they are scored. Also type in information on reliability and validity.
3) After typing that information in, upload the document where you found the scale items and upload the research articles where you found their reliability/validity. ***NOTE – often, but not always, the scales AND the reliability/validity will be in the same article, as is the case for this week’s additional reading under Module 5. However, sometimes the actual items/questions in the scale are not included in the article about testing for reliability/validity, and you may need to search online for the scales items/questions***
4) Finally, in addition to having typed in TWO standardized scales of an issue, create a single item (i.e. a single question) Individualized Rating Scale (IRS) that you could give to all of the program clients. This is similar to a standardized scale, except it’s just ONE broader question that you make up (see page 198 and 199 of your book for a refresher
